Love You Forever...No Matter What

Belle was in the library when Adam found her. He smiled. As usual her head was buried deep in a book and she was clearly enjoying it, for she didn't even look up when he came in. But he knew that the only reason for that was because she was too absorbed in reading and he went across to her and dropped a kiss on the top of her head. She put down the book and looked up at him, a frown of worry written on her face.
"What is it?" he asked, concerned.
"Adam, I've just been reading this book on pregnancy." She held it up for him to see. As she shifted, anyone passing could see the slight but definate curve beneath her blue dress that told she was expecting a baby. "It says that...certain parts of my body are going to get bigger..."
"Right?"
"And sometimes they don't always go back to the way they used to be."
It was Adam's turn to frown. "I didn't think you were the type to worry about things like that," he said, smoothing her hair.
"Well, I never thought I would be, but," she looked up, her hazel eyes meeting his blue ones, "if that happens, you'll still love me, right?"
Adam laughed. "Belle, is that what this is all about? I know you told me that Gaston character wanted to marry you just for your looks, but I married you because I love you. And I love you because you're kind, brave, stubborn, witty and you learned to love me for the man I was beyond the Beast."
"So, not just for my beauty?"
"Well, yes, that helped a little! Belle, I love you and I always will, no matter what happens."
Belle smiled. "You're right, Adam, of course. I don't know what I was thinking of worrying about such a thing. Thank you."
"You're welcome." Adam grinned. "So, does that book say anything about other ways of thanking your husband for making you feel better?"
"No," Belle replied, putting the book down, "but I don't the book for that. I'll use the way I already love so much."
And she turned about on her cushion and kissed him, feeling that great rush of love for him that she had always felt...
